Crandall Stats and Sensors Association is delighted to once again work with the Children’s Home and Aid Society (Foster Care Alliance Division) to provide Christmas Gifts to foster care children from ages two to eighteen. Brian Finn, Quality Engineer and Adopt an Angel coordinator, reported, “We are very excited to be able to provide 25 Angel gifts again this year.” We hope these gifts help make the holidays a little brighter for children that are not able to spend time with their immediate family. When asked why she bought gifts for an Angel, one CS&S employee responded, “Everyone deserves a Christmas!”
We have teamed up with Ege WorkSmart Solutions to promote an ergonomically safe environment for our employees here at Crandall Stats and Sensors. Ege WorkSmart Solutions has provided us with their Stretch It Out!® program, which was developed by Scott Ege, a licensed physical therapist and ergonomics specialist. Our twice daily group stretching helps prevent injuries here at work. Crandall Stats and Sensors also utilizes Ege WorkSmart Solutions for a program called Early Intervention. Russ Morgan is an Early Intervention Specialist with Ege WorkSmart Solutions. He is also a Certified Athletic Trainer with over 20 years of orthopedic experience. Russ visits with our employees once a month to provide first-aid interventions that may be needed to keep an “ache from becoming a pain”. He also provides guidance regarding ergonomics and general wellness of our workforce. We feel this is a valuable benefit to our employees and the company.
Adam Bohn, a Howard D. Colman Scholar, is attending college after spending the summer as an Intern for Crandall Stats and Sensors. The Howard D. Colman Scholar Intern Program is part of the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois. Adam brought a wealth of knowledge, experience and energy to our operation! Mr. Bohn spent time on RoHS compliance and 3-D printing of parts. He also created work instructions for the 3-D printer, designed and printed fixtures, worked on Polka-Yoke concepts, worked with the Quality Function to calibrate torque drivers, and wrote HAAS CNC Mill operating instructions and programs. We wish Adam every success with his college career and look forward to seeing him here in Rockford as an outstanding design engineer!
Crandall Stats & Sensors, Inc. is proud to announce that we are now a certified UL Wire Processor.
